Dean and the team look forward to welcoming you to Newcastle Racecourse. Here they transform the racecourse track into a fantastic road system with roundabouts, junctions, parking practice areas and manoeuvring areas, as well as big open spaces for beginners to master their steering!
If you have had a few lessons already and want to try your hand at some more challenging activities this site has a hill start facility.

Follow the brown and white tourist board signs bearing the horse and rider from the A1, A19 and main approach roads to the city. Newcastle Racecourse is on the outskirts of Gosforth adjacent to The Marriott Hotel. Car Parking is free of charge.
When you drive into the race course drive to the border and minstrel pub and park in the car park opposite, come out the car park and turn right and walk down the road about 100yards and you will see our Young Driver flags, we are on the left.
